Here is Yokoyama Yui’s ending confession, with English subtitles, from the video game AKB 1/149 Renai Sousenkyo (Love Election).
As you may or may not know, Yokoyama Yui was born (and presumably raised) in Kyoto, and therefore speaks with a fairly noticeable Kansai dialect. Thus, the transcript I’m including here will also include standard Japanese.
I took some liberties with the translation to make it sound a little more like natural (American) English; as is the case with most translations. The one phrase that gave me a little trouble was “yubikiri” (指切り、ゆびきり). In colloquial American English, this is translated as “pinky swear” or “pinky promise”. I’m not sure if this is the same in other countries where English is spoken, so I just thought I’d mention it.
Transcript as follows:
Sometimes editor. Sometimes translator. Mostly a proofreader. I like Japan and things.
