Matsumura Kaori, AKB Sousenkyo Election

Matsumura Kaori’s 2015 7th Senbatsu speech (English subtitles)

Here is Matsumura Kaori’s speech for the 13th position from the 2015 AKB48 41st Single 7th Senbatsu Sousenkyo General Election.

I am Matsumura Kaori (aka Kao-tan) of SKE48.

Matsumura got into the AKB senbatsu! I’m really filled with disbelief.

Let’s see. This year, something really great happened. Just now, like Tokumitsu-san said, in March of this year, it’s been unwritten rule that “Lifetime Honorary Research Student” can’t be promoted. But, before I knew it, I was promoted to Team KII.

Uh, sorry, there seem to be a lot of people going to the bathroom. Please don’t change the channel!

Let’s see, what else. Thankfully, I just made it for today. You know, I was really going bald!

Last year too, slowly, but surely, my hair’s been growing. My treatment is over. I’m wearing a hat, so I can’t show you, but I’m really happy my hair is growing. I can’t say the name of the hospital, but to the clinic’s Dr. Takasu, thank you very much! Really.

For what I’m most happy about, I’m really happy that I’m able to stand on this stage.

I spent 5 1/2 years as a research student. Takamina’s words, “Hard work will always been reward”, has always stayed in my heart. Especially when I’m made fun of, or become a running joke. I really love those words. While working, many new junior research students have come in. I’m really bad at singing, and can’t dance, and my face is super ugly. When I think about what I can do to lead my junior members, I remember that, “Hard work will certainly be rewarded,” and I try to exemplify that in the way I live. What I can leave to my junior members is the SKE Life.

Thus, in my becoming a senbatsu member… thank you… I hope that me being called a senbatsu member is proof, that even a little, “Hard work will always be rewarded”.

I’m the oldest one in SKE, but I still want to try my best.

I still want to continue in this weird position. So, it might be hard to look at me on TV shows, but well, Sasshi is still here too, so it’s probably okay.

So please, I hope you continue SKE and me as well. Thank you very much.

Here’s a video of her attacking a fish

    • lol, I don’t think I’ve ever been so entertained by someone “attacking” fish.

Also…. “Jonny”, “@YamamotoSayaka”… necropig? If so, nice to see you again 😉

HA! How’d you know it was me? :p
Didn’t realize you had setup this website till a post came up on your facebook regarding subs. I posted some links to here on forum sites I am on so hopefully others will see your work.

        • Ah, okay, thanks for sharing. 😀

Well, a while back you sent me a Facebook message, and I just remember your first name. In American English, “Jonny” is usually spelled, “Johnny”, so that uniqueness kinda sticks out for me. Plus I recall you were a big Sayanee fan, so I just pieced it together and guessed it might you.

Odd thing, I’ve been re-connecting with people from when I was more active on Youtube (before the account went away). I guess it’s a relatively small world in idol fandom 😀
