Here is Miyawaki Sakura’s speech for the 7th position from the 2015 AKB48 41st Single 7th Senbatsu Sousenkyo General Election.

HKT48チームKIV、AKB48チームA兼任の宮脇咲良です！応援してくださった皆さん、本当にありがとうございます！
I’m Miyawaki Sakura, of HKT48 Team KIV, concurrent with AKB48 Team A. To all who supported me, thank you very much!

去年はファンの皆さんから11位という夢への素敵なチケットをもらったと私は思っています。
Last year, the fans gave me a wonderful ticket to my dream, with 11th place.

そして私はそのチケットを持って選抜という列車に乗ることができました。
With that ticket, I was able to ride the senbatsu train.

その選抜が連れて行ってくれる場所はすごくキラキラ輝いていて、夢にあふれていました。
The place that the senbatsu brought, was really a magical place, filled with dreams.

でも選抜は何事も進むスピードがとっても速くて、ついていくのに必死で先輩たちがキラキラ輝いているのを見て、自分の無力さばかりが目についてしまいました。
But the senbatsu’s movement was so fast. Even when I followed along, I tried desperately to keep up with my senior members. And it made me realize what little strength I had.

すごく悩んでいるはずなのに、何に悩んでいるのかわかんなくなったり、東京で一人でいることが多くなって毎日一人で葛藤する日々が続いていました。
I was really bother, but I wasn’t sure why. I found myself in Tokyo alone, and everyday I felt conflicted.

でも今年の総選挙を通して私は一人で立ち向かっていたんじゃなくて、周りを見たらたくさんのファンの人が私と一緒に戦っていてくれてたんだなということを実感しました。本当に皆さんいつもありがとうございます。
But in this year’s election, I wasn’t standing on my own. I realized that I was fighting together, alongside all of those around me. To everyone, thank you very much.

そしてHKT48はAKB48の姉妹グループとして先輩たちが切り開いてくれた道を歩んでいます。
Also, HKT48, as AKB48’s sister group, I’ve walked the path that my senior members made for me.

でも、この道を歩んでいるのはとっても楽しいけど、そろそろ先輩たちに頼ってばっかりではいけないなと思います。
Walking this path is really fun. But, I realized that I can’t always be depending on my senior members forever.

「マジすか学園」の台詞の中で「道を開けろよ」と言ったんですが、これからは先輩たちが切り開いてくれた道ではなくて、自分たち自身で切り開いた道を歩んでいきたいなと思います。
In Majisuka Gakuen, I said the line, “Open the road”. From now own, it’s not the road my elders have created for me — I want to walk down the path that I’ve created for myself.

そして来年は1位の席に座って誰も見たことない新しいAKBを作りたいです。
And next year, I want to sit in the #1 seat and created a new AKB that no one has seen before.

駆け出しの私がこんなことを言うのは本当に生意気で失礼なんですけど、私はAKBを壊したいです！
This might be too forward, and it might too brazen and rude, I want to destroy AKB!

先輩たちが今まで作り上げたAKBを壊したいんじゃなくて、新しいものを作るにはまず壊すことから始めないといけないと思うから、
Not the AKB that my elders have created. Rather, I believe that you must destroy something to begin making something new.

…何だっけ（笑）。これからも今の私に何が足りないのか常に考えながら、一歩一歩、皆さんと一緒に進んでいきたいと思います。
Uh… let’s see… From now on, while thinking about what I lack, I want to move forward, step-by-step with all of you.
