At the main offices of Dentsu located in the Shiodime area of Tokyo, they’ve placed a robot at the front desk. This is not endorsed by AKS at all, but many people have noted that the robot looks like a certain Japanese idol…
Whether the look is intentional or not, no one confirms, but the robot is conspicuously named, “Roborin”. There’s an Xbox Kinect sensor located in the robot’s chest area (you can see the three distinct holes for the cameras), the robot is able to greet people and look them straight in the face.
The robot is part of a Dentsu company-wide effort to promote technology initiatives within the company.
