Combining handshake tickets to get more time with your oshimen is nothing new, but a hardcore wota takes it to the next level.  At an NMB48 handshake, one wota was seen combining 231 handshake tickets!

If each ticket gets you about 10 seconds of time, 231 tickets gets a little less than 40 minutes!  The story unfolds on Twitter through a series of tweets:

“In the first group of Shuu-chan’s lane, there’s someone who just used 231 tickets!”

“In Shuu-chan’s lane, a wota with a huge body that was holding a really thick stack of tickets, just went in.”

And, from the perspective of Yugio or other card game otaku:

“For those people who were aiming to get into Shuu-chan’s lane before closing, I just saw someone who looked like he was carrying enough handshake tickets to rival the thickness of a complete set of Yugioh cards.  It seems he’s probably going to summon Exodia now.”

“Someone using 231 tickets for Shuu-chan?  That’s disturbing.  If you’re going to that, you should do it when she graduates”

“It’s okay to combine tickets, but don’t you feel like you should give Shuu-chan some time to take a break?”

“There’s a super-man who’s been talking for 20 minutes in Shuu-chan’s lane.”

231 tickets means 231 CDs. Assuming that each CD is about 1,500 yen each, that’s 346,500 yen. Wow!

Just another day in the life of a hardcore fan. Even if I could afford it, I can’t imagine being able to talk to my oshimen for 40 minutes before my heart explodes!
