Translation notes: When it comes to attending AKB48’s handshaking events, members are often rated on their reactions to their fans. The word “kami-taiou” (神対応) often appears here, whose literal translation is “godly response”. In this translation, I will often mix-and-match “handshake response” with “handshake experience”, which I think better brings the nuance over, but is not technically a direct translation.

Here is a fun fact! The word, shi-ten-ou (四天王) is used amongst NMB fans, and refers to four NMB members: Shiroma Miru, Yagura Fuuko, Nagisa Shibuya, and Yabushita Shu. The literal meaning of 四天王 is “four heavenly kings”:

The word “ikemen” is also often used here; I have used the translation “cool guy”, for lack of a better word.

Mirurun really does give you a good reaction, but when she is shaking hands, I really wish she would look me in the eye. The truth is, while it looks like she is looking you in the eye, she is actually looking slightly at your eye brow.

By doing this, I suppose she is softening her reaction in case she is put off by you.  She is definitely a master strategist!

If you visit regularly, her reactions might get better, but it also causes a little bit of stress for both of you.

The top members of the senbatsu, regardless of good or bad handshake responses, the thing is that regardless of your looks, they will give you the same response.

Want to know why?  It is because that looking at wota’s appearance and deciding if it is good or bad, is the exact same as deciding whether a bug’s appearance is good or bad!

Shiroma’s lane is pretty fun. And it really feels like you get something. To the left, there was Yamamoto Sayake, Yoshida Akari, and Jonishi Kei. Sometimes I sneak a look at their boobs.

Yamamoto Sayaka usually wears something that accentuates her chest. That girl is unknowingly clever!

To the right, there was Yagura, Yabushita, and Oda. They are so cute.

Those lines are  fairly long. If you “loop around”, and go back into Yagura’s line, the other “rival” Yagura wotas will stare you down. It would not surprise me if a fight broke out.  But then I get in line again, stare at some boobs, and calm down a little.  I want to stay in that line forever!
