Yagura Fuuko AKB 1/149 Renai Sousenkyo ending confession gameplay

Here is Yagura Fuuko’s confession, with English subtitles, from the video game AKB 1/149 Renai Sousenkyo Love Election.

This particular confession is pretty straightforward, with one exception in the form of a cultural reference.

The setting is inside Tsutenkaku Tower, located in Osaka.

In the beginning of the confession, Fuuchan is rubbing a statue of Billiken, who is considered a deity of good luck; and also very popular in Osaka. This is why she thanks Billiken, presumably for her good fortune after you’ve accepted her.

She uses the phrase, yoroshiku, which I’ve said before is pretty hard to translate. Hopefully it should make some sense here.

As part of the rejection, she says something to the effect of, “It wasn’t me.” Which seems to suggest that she suspected you were in love with someone… and that it wasn’t her, but someone else. Oh, bittersweet heartbreak!

Here’s a complete transcript and inline English translation for the scene:

Main scene

What did I wish for? It’s a secret!

Wow, we’re up so high. Scary!

Look, that’s Tennoji Zoo, right?

Ah, look, Osaka Castle!

This is really a great place.

Hey… won’t you make some good memories with me?

Billiken! Thanks!

Please treat me well!

I see. So, it wasn’t me.

I really wanted to make some good memories…
