Hello internet stranger. Welcome to akbzine.com! Here, you’ll find Japanese & idol related articles and news. The focus is mainly on AKB48 and their various sister groups for now, and whatever else we feel like putting up here in general. This is a site by fans and for fans, driven solely by our love for Japan and its amazing subcultures!
Jerry! Webmaster, site tech guru, and translator. He originally started akbzine on Youtube, uploading gameplay videos of the AKB 1/149 Renai Sousenkyo video game. He has an N2 proficiency in Japanese language, and is a native English speaker.
Reika! News reader, and writer of things. She likes silly news and funny articles. She’s responsible for most of the site’s “news”. She’s an internet junkie, so many of her sources are from the Japanese blogosphere. Hopefully she’ll use some more legitimate sources eventually!
Yuki! Occasional writer, translator in training, focusing on more specialized content, and non-idol news.
If you want to use the articles on the site, feel free. However, please no direct copies and no direct translations. Summarization and paraphrasing perfectly fine, but please credit and link back the original article.
