It’s about time! It seems Akicha fell off the radar for a while, but Takajo Aki was seen having a late night date with an unnamed suit-wearing guy.
Maeda Atsuko’s appearance in recent drama Busujima Yuriko is old news, some wota’s limit are tested, as Acchan appears in a series of sexy love scenes. Continue reading Acchan’s sexy love scene executes all wota
The AKB48 Senbatsu Sousenkyo Museum is a temporary exhibit to celebrate the current year’s election, and will be featured in two locales in western and eastern Tokyo.
What seemed to start as joke takes on new life. Nyan Nyan Kamen continues to build popularity with a brand new Twitter account, and profile pages in the official sousenkyo guide book.
The predictions are flying in! The “data collection researchers” behind the official election guide book 2016 have published their own predictions for this coming election.
The official posters for AKB48 Election 2016 haven’t officially been posted online, but are being displayed in select local venues in Japan. Here’s a collection of gallery photos that have appeared so far.
First, here’s the main digest poster (which is official, as far as I can tell):
This next poster comes from Twitter user @gugitter:
This last part comes courtesy of HKT48 theater manager Ozaki Atsushi’s Google plus page. The first floor of “fashion building” Solaria Stage in Fukuoka City, will feature official election posters on display (HKT48 only, naturally):
Not to be outdone, NMB48’s own manager (Kaneko Takeshi) shows us the NMB48 theater adorned with official posters:
More available from the NMB48 official blog:
Finally here is a series of photos from Twitter user @kominagi48:
Former AKB48 member, Takahashi Minami, unintentionally poses for the camera, as she is seen walking along with a new presumed romantic interest.
Courtesy of Oya Shizuka’s official blog, she outlines her plans (with Ogasawara Mayu) of making a million dollars with Kojiharu’s used undergarments.
With the election so close by, we’re seeing everyone and everything offering up their predictions. Gekkan Entame magazine provides their predictions, with interesting results for up-and-coming members, and a battle at the top!
First, the source in question:
The results, in English, are as follows:
- Sashihara Rino
- Miyawaki Sakura
- Watanabe Mayu
- Kashiwagi Yuki
- Matsui Jurina
- Yamamoto Sayaka
- Nyan-nyan Kamen
- Suda Akari
- Yokoyama Yui
- Kitahara Rie
- Muto Tomu
- Shimazaki Haruka
- Kodama Haruka
- Takayanagi Akane
- Minegishi Minami
- Furuhata Nao
This was published before Nyan-Nyan Kamen’s big reveal. For the most part, this ranking seems completely plausible to me. The most surprising or interesting parts to me are:
- Miyawaki Sakura taking over and surpassing her senior members. Part of me says this is a big stretch, but another part says it’s totally possible!
- Suda Akari also experiences a huge jump, after being dropped to #18 last year. The same goes for Furuhata Nao, who was ranked #24 last year.
With Watanabe Miyuki, Matsumura Kaori, and Takahashi Minami out, that leaves some room for up and coming members. It’ll be interesting to see how this works out!
Sashihara Rino’s recent appearance on the Japanese variety-show Shabekuri 007 sent her name trending to the top of many online publications.
With the recent construction of the new BEJ48/GNZ48 theater, Japanese wota can’t help but draw comparisons…
One fan comments on the “interesting” smell of Matsumura Kaori’s lane during a recent handshake event.
Surprising absolutely no one, Nyan-nyan Kamen’s secret identity has been revealed… or has it?!
Similar to Watanabe Miyuki before, Ota Aika is dropping some big hints about a very surprising announcement coming in the near future. Graduation? Maybe. But 2ch weighs in on the situation with some interesting details.
